About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Coordinator to join our team at Upbring. As a Nutrition Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and wellness of our children by providing nutritional services that supplement and complement those of the home and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations and Head Start Performance Standards
  • Train new staff on CACFP regulations and review each child's nutritional needs assessment within required timelines
  • Develop, review, and modify menus to ensure the meal program meets standard nutritional requirements and individual nutritional needs of each child
  • Provide nutritional education to staff members and support education staff in implementing nutritional activities in the classroom
  • Attend and participate in food services meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program operations support and meet program goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a closely related field from a program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist
  • Ability to travel up to 50% required
