Join Our Team
Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building Division is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Project Leader with expertise in government and commercial facilities, as well as infrastructure market sectors.

Your Role
In collaboration with Project Managers and Project Directors, you will act as the primary client account manager, serving as the main point of contact for clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations.
  • Participate in project meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, including work breakdown structures, risk registers, and decision logs.
  • Assist in the creation of governance documents such as Project Execution Plans and Quality Assurance Plans.
  • Manage project change control processes and apply knowledge of planning and scheduling functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in any U.S. state.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex projects.
  • Relevant experience in the Electrical Engineering sector, particularly in renewable energy, prime power generation, substation design, or battery storage.
  • Proficient in utility coordination and knowledgeable about safety and contract issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining successful client relationships.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with USACE/NAVFAC/USAF project management systems.
  • Proven track record in directing large-scale electric utility projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, cost estimates, resource requirements, and schedules.
  • Familiarity with electric utility distribution system engineering and design.
  • Experience in construction support, including bidding assistance and field observations.
