Nurse Care Specialist

TotalMed is seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care in our Step Down Unit. As a valued member of our team, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Our ideal candidate has two years of recent Step Down experience and strong communication and adaptability skills.
In this rewarding role, you will:
• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status
• Administer medications and perform procedures as needed
• Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes
• $20,500 / 13 weeks (approximately $2,046 per week)
• Hampton, VA area (freestanding opportunities available)
Requirements
• Current RN license
• BLS certification (other certifications may be required by facility)
• Two years of recent Step Down experience
• Strong communication and adaptability skills
