Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive accounting records, ensuring accuracy throughout the full cycle of accounting transactions.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports as required by management or regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting procedures, collaborating with team members to enhance efficiency.
  • Execute accounting and bookkeeping tasks with precision.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and environmental standards in all job functions.
  • Promptly report any environmental concerns to the supervisor.
  • Review and understand the company's emergency notification protocols.
  • Assist in the month-end financial closing process and preparation of reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee Federal and State Tax reporting at year-end.
  • Maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and prepare necessary documentation and workpapers.
  • Adhere to all environmental laws and procedures relevant to the division.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, with a minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience should include substantial work with general ledger management and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the general ledger and its connection to financial statements.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
