Job Title: Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to plant operations, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, replacing, maintaining, and installing electrical/electronic systems for production-related equipment and building utilities within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train others in electrical skills as required
  • Prepare workstations, install, repair, and wire electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits throughout the plant, in accordance with national electrical code requirements
  • Dismantle, inspect, determine the source of trouble, repair, adjust, or replace faulty parts and wiring on machinery, equipment, motors, generators, power distribution and control panels, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic devices, etc.
  • Reassemble, test, and adjust for safe and proper operation
  • Makes power cable splices and works hot lines as required
  • Fabricate brackets and miscellaneous parts, solder, silver solder, and brace as required
  • Cut, thread, and install conduit
  • Remove and replace obstructions, parts, and equipment to gain access to trouble areas and fulfill job duties
  • Completely wire and maintain building and structures, including lighting fixtures
  • Compute load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Required climbing
  • Keep own work area and equipment clean and orderly
  • Maintain necessary records
  • Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, written, and verbal instruction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions:

  • Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
  • The team member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
  • The noise level is frequently loud
