About the Role

Frito-Lay is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for our drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with fleet vehicles, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Manage parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Charge parts and labor to work orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Work with vendors to obtain estimates for parts and labor.
  • Interact with drivers and other team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
  • Ability to work on/under trucks for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fleet maintenance software and systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
