About the Role

This position is a vital part of Sherwin-Williams' manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and be able to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and service on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and maintain production and facility equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Record and report maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements.
  • Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs as needed.
  • Maintain and service building equipment, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and other automation systems.
