Responsibilities:

  • Experience and Education:
    • High School Diploma – Associate's Degree preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting as an admitting supervisor.
    • Extensive knowledge of capitation contracts, eligibility, and financial/authorization responsibilities between hospitals, IPAs, and health plans.
    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, Workers' Compensation, Government Insurance, HIPAA, ABN, MSP, and other relevant Federal and State regulations related to admitting processes, authorization, and billing requirements.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Aptitude working in multiple patient registration/accounting systems.
    • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Typing speed of 40-50 WPM.
    • BCLS certification required.
    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, Workers' Compensation, Government Insurance, HIPAA, ABN, MSP, and other relevant Federal and State regulations related to Admitting and Billing.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

Requirements:
