Patient Access Liaison I

Job Summary:
The Patient Access Liaison I is a key member of the Keck Medicine of USC team, responsible for providing exceptional patient access and referral services. This role requires a high level of customer service, communication, and organizational skills to ensure seamless interactions with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary point of contact for patient access and referral inquiries
- Answer and direct incoming and outgoing calls, electronic messages, and other web-based communications
- Respond to basic inquiries and refer complex issues to medical personnel
- Contact and distribute messages to medical personnel using various electronic methods
- Schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments as needed
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field
- Specialized training in healthcare, such as medical assisting or patient registration
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and health insurance types
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- High-level computer literacy with practice management scheduling systems
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) if required
