Position Summary:
We are looking to enhance our team in the Sarasota, Florida area with a qualified candidate for the role of Branch Manager. This position will report directly to a Principal staff member within our Building Envelope / Existing Building division and encompasses a range of essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Expertise in all stages of consulting projects, particularly in the following areas:
    • Structural Inspections
    • Reserve Studies
    • Water Intrusion Investigations
    • Property Turnover Surveys
    • Concrete Restoration
    • Painting and Waterproofing
    • Asset Lifecycle Analysis (ROI)
    • Property Condition Assessments
    • Asphalt Pavement Evaluations
    • Roof Consulting & Design
    • Expert Witness Services
    • Building Sciences
    • Project Management
    • Building Envelope
    • Milestone Inspections
  • Proven track record of managing projects and deliverables successfully.
  • Conduct project-level reviews and collaborate with Project Managers on assigned tasks.
  • Review and assess written reports and documentation related to project activities.
  • Stay informed about local building codes and regulations.
  • Evaluate technical requirements for projects and seek necessary support.
  • Foster effective communication and relationships with clients and management teams.
  • Break down technical needs and assist in managing budgetary constraints for assigned projects.
  • Provide updates to the Principal regarding project status, timelines, and key issues.
  • Assist with billing reviews and collections as needed.
  • Offer updates on manpower and resource availability.
  • Engage in corporate initiatives and meetings to establish future protocols and procedures.
  • Support the Principal with new proposal estimates and business development efforts.
  • Respond to client communications effectively during project emergencies.
  • Lead and mentor staff, fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Assist the Principal with Profit & Loss reviews.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in building envelope and existing building projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) status is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC computer skills, including Microsoft Word or equivalent document writing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment, think creatively, and solve complex challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to maintain a broader perspective.
