About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to join our team at Hoyt Architects. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of architectural designs and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate a team effort to complete projects promptly and successfully.
  • Design Development: Oversee the development of architectural designs and the production of construction documents, including specifications.
  • Client Management: Coordinate the needs of clients, support staff, and outside consultants, including structural, civil, and mechanical engineers, as well as interior designers and landscape architects.
  • Design Process Management: Manage the design process from conception to construction administration to ensure consistency of design intent.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance of construction detail documentation to quality control and best practices.
  • Client Communications: Maintain client communications and relationships.
  • Project Research: Perform project research.
  • Review and Approval: Review accuracy of calculations, estimates, plans, and completed reports.
  • Permitting and Approvals: Contact municipal building department and government agency officials to assist with project approvals.
  • Field Reviews: Interact with building officials during project permitting and construction phases.
  • Technical Drawing Review: Monitor preparation of technical drawings prepared by less senior staff.
  • Shop Drawings: Review shop drawings.
  • Project Close-out: Draft observation reports during project close-out efforts.
  • Incidental Work: Complete incidental work or other office functions that are necessary to get projects completed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years proven related work experience, especially with multifamily and mixed-use buildings.
  • Communication Skills: Solid written, graphic, and verbal communication skills.
  • CAD Skills: High-level CAD skills. Revit a plus.
  • Professional Attitude: Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Interior Design Experience: Interior Design experience is a plus.
