Job Description

As a Nearshore Service Line Specialist at Fugro, you will play a key role in the success of our Nearshore Service Line. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with our team members to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with tender reviews and proposal preparation, ensuring that all client requirements are met and scope changes are addressed.
  • Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting of all aspects of the Nearshore Service Line.
  • Discuss project requirements, technical deliverables, schedules, and other essential details with stakeholders to ensure compliant proposals are submitted.
  • Work on Requests for Information (RFIs) and Pre-Qualifications (PQs) for new and existing clients, as well as new projects or pursuits.
  • Act as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the company, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Produce Project Programs and review contract technical specifications to ensure all client requirements are met.
  • Negotiate and define specific mechanisms prior to project commencement.
  • Gather performance data and submit weekly and monthly reports to head office.
  • Ensure the Project Management Plan, Execution Plan, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments are in place for all activities.
  • Ensure all project documentation is reviewed and updated as necessary, and changes are communicated to all site personnel.
  • Develop and implement an Emergency Response Plan and an Environmental Management Plan, and brief all site personnel on their contents.
  • Assist the Barge Master/Site Supervisor in maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Highlight essential records/details to complete an accurate measure and final claim.
  • Undertake incident reviews and close out in line with company processes, reporting findings to clients and discussing mitigating measures.
  • Arrange Kick-Off and Wrap-Up meetings, and financial monitoring of the Service Line to ensure it meets the yearly profit plan and targets.
  • Develop monthly financial reports that align with the company's financial reporting process.
  • Work with the Service Line Director to develop a plan to ensure financial targets can be met.
  • Financial planning and monitoring on individual projects, identifying if a project is on target financially and time-wise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Oceanography, or Civil Engineering.
  • 2 years of progressive offshore/nearshore/land site characterization experience, working on operations, project management, and financial management/control within the nearshore zone.
