UXO Team Lead: Explosive Hazard Mitigation Specialist

At GSI Service Group Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled UXO Team Lead: Explosive Hazard Mitigation Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your expertise in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) to mitigate hazardous situations and ensure a safe working environment for our personnel.

About the Role

As a UXO Team Lead: Explosive Hazard Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for leading a team of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) technicians in identifying, extracting, moving, and consolidating discarded military munitions. You will also be responsible for preparing firing systems, inspecting materials to determine risks, and transporting demolition materials. In addition, you will be required to perform field collection procedures to identify contaminated soil and prepare an on-site holding area to temporarily stow munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) that has an acceptable risk of movement.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school and have a strong background in UXO clearance and sweep operations. You will also be required to have current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and a valid driver's license. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
