Job Title:
Unexploded Ordnance Technician III

This is a critical role that requires expertise in identifying and handling discarded military munitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for locating, extracting, moving, and consolidating these munitions, while ensuring the safety of themselves and others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise clearance/sweep teams and ensure they follow established protocols.
  • Prepare explosives storage plans and ensure compliance with all applicable guidance.
  • Conduct risk and hazards analyses to identify potential threats.
  • Supervise the conduct of all on-site UXO-related operations and ensure they are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and certify Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) as safe for transfer or release.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school with at least eight years combined military and commercial UXO experience.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and 29 CFR HAZWOPER Physical.
  • Ability to work outside normal work hours and travel extensively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior management and other stakeholders.
