Job Overview

The Regional Prefabrication Lead serves as a pivotal figure within our prefabrication team, focusing on enhancing the application of prefabricated solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This role encompasses the development of prefabrication strategies, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and project execution. A successful candidate will blend technical knowledge with project management skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with regional prefab resources to promote the integration of prefabricated solutions throughout all project phases.
  • Identify and communicate prefabrication opportunities to project teams, ensuring effective tracking and evaluation of ongoing initiatives.
  • Formulate standardized responses to inquiries regarding scheduling and costs related to prefabricated components, while understanding procurement timelines.
  • Engage with the regional prefab lead to enhance self-performed and prefabricated offerings, assessing capabilities and future project opportunities.
  • Coordinate with local prefab leaders to optimize throughput in manufacturing facilities, adopting efficient operational practices.
  • Assist project teams in crafting their Prefabrication Execution Plans.
  • Document and disseminate lessons learned from project experiences, facilitating pre-installation meetings to share insights.
Additional Duties:
  • Advance the philosophy of 'buildings as products' by working closely with various teams to enhance the use of prefabricated methods.
  • Support project teams in developing comprehensive prefabrication plans and leading kickoff meetings.
  • Facilitate data collection for project teams to improve decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams to outline prefab scopes of work, including logistics and design considerations.
  • Participate in project coordination efforts to ensure proper representation of prefabricated elements.
  • Assist in communication between manufacturers and project teams to streamline integration.
  • Work with project teams to develop A3 documents for inclusion in project assessments.
  • Promote the procurement and execution of prefabricated products across projects.
  • Engage in early scoping discussions to ensure clear communication of project requirements.
  • Collaborate with SPW leaders to refine and enhance current prefabrication offerings.
  • Support project teams in the execution of prefab product lines, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Collect and analyze data related to project performance, including quantity, schedule, and quality control.
  • Work with design and construction teams to identify key components for prefabrication assessment.
  • Attend cluster group meetings to set expectations and communicate key performance indicators.
  • Implement multi-discipline design standards into bidding documents, fostering collaboration with subcontractors.
  • Monitor multiple projects' prefabrication installations, capturing scalable lessons learned for future reference.
  • Engage with prefab product managers to stay informed about leading products in the market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prefab product suppliers, sharing insights across the organization.
  • Conduct site visits and vendor assessments as necessary to enhance project outcomes.
  • Gather information on prefabrication scopes for inclusion in historical databases.
  • Collaborate with product teams to digitize and manage product data effectively.
  • Map value streams for prefabrication processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with leads to schedule work cells for project execution.
  • Support the development of a core operations team focused on planning and executing prefabricated installations.
  • Participate in national prefabrication meetings to share insights and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to influence project integration and coordination.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and technical construction experience.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination is essential.
  • Understanding of project delivery methods and prefabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with scope writing and procurement processes.
  • Leadership experience in design-build or design-assist projects is advantageous.
  • Proactive and diligent, with a commitment to follow through on commitments.
  • Passion for advancing the prefabrication and construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to learn from industry experts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on evaluating new product opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support projects.
