**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Medical Records Coordinator to join our team at Alameda Health System.
**Job Summary**
The Senior Medical Records Coordinator will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and complete medical records for our residents. This is a critical role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Compile statistical data such as admissions, discharges, deaths, and types of treatment given, and perform audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure medical records are complete, assembled in standard order, and filed in a timely manner.
• Ensure medical records are restricted to authorized staff members and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in the hiring, disciplining, and evaluation of medical records employees.
• Provide training, direction, and guidance to the medical records staff.
• Prepare work schedules and maintain adequate staffing levels.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 5 years' experience managing medical records in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
**What We Offer**
We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
