About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team at Alera Group. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for building a profitable book of business while supporting the growth of strategic carrier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize lead lists and inbound calls to convert prospects to clients
  • Develop and maintain external and predictable referral partnerships in the community
  • Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings to secure new business
  • Create insurance proposals tailored to fit a client's unique needs by determining carrier placement and proper protection
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including calendar appointments, task-lists, and emails
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals as established with the Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales
  • Engage in mentor/mentee relationships with senior team members to ensure team goals are achieved
  • Properly onboard clients by introducing them to policy service resources and the Account Management team
  • Consistently complete necessary pipeline and production-related reports
  • Drive an inclusive, accountable, and motivating sales culture through individual actions and goal achievement
  • Participate in sales meetings and events
  • Effectively communicate the capabilities of Alera Group to prospects and clients to promote cross-selling
  • Understand and support the execution of Alera Group initiatives, policies, and programs
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships and the Alera Group brand through social engagement and community involvement
  • Build and maintain positive relationships within Alera Group, valuing the opinions of all team members
  • Follow proper procedures for insurance standards, protecting and honoring confidential information, and maintaining the highest ethical standards
  • Support local community initiatives
  • Perform other duties and projects as required
Requirements
  • Five years of insurance experience
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • Exceptional and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Possess the knowledge and technical skills required to perform job responsibilities
  • Keep up to date on industry developments, practices, and continuing education
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License
