Ecolab is looking for a Sales Engineer for Water Solutions to become part of our renowned sales force. In this role, you will drive revenue and profit enhancement for our offerings in designated accounts. By employing a consultative sales strategy, you will cultivate relationships with current clients through the implementation of system assurance initiatives tailored to their business objectives. With effective account management, you will also target competitive accounts and introduce innovative technologies to existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies within the existing customer base and assigned competitive accounts to achieve profit growth targets.
  • Collaborate closely with current and potential clients to comprehend their business requirements and propose continuous improvement and innovation strategies that will sustain and enhance sales.
  • Establish strong connections with key decision-makers within current and prospective clients, including facility executives.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients, addressing and resolving challenges, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Engage in analytical problem-solving by conducting system evaluations, interpreting data, and delivering written recommendations to ensure optimal operational performance for clients.
  • Actively promote and support Ecolab's innovations and technologies within assigned accounts to foster long-term business relationships.
Position Overview:
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
  • The territory encompasses a defined radius around the base location.
  • Targeted accounts are primarily within the chemical processing sector.
  • Minimal overnight travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in technical sales or field sales support.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Physical Requirements:
  • Operate a company vehicle as needed to fulfill job responsibilities (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be conducted to assess eligibility).
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.).
  • Experience in the water treatment or specialty chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
