This role is for a Sales Engineering Specialist, collaborating closely with the external sales team and primarily tasked with providing technical assistance for combustion solutions. The position involves delivering product and field support while maintaining continuous communication with both the team and clients to ensure comprehensive combustion solutions that surpass customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct startup and tuning operations on combustion systems and fuel trains.
- Provide training to fellow employees on the functionality of combustion systems and fuel trains.
- Possess the expertise to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions to identify causes and implement corrective measures.
- Perform combustion analysis and offer recommendations to enhance burner control systems.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to foster trust.
- Deliver information to customers regarding product solutions, pricing, and availability.
- Provide field support at customer locations.
- Offer technical assistance to relevant sales colleagues.
- Preferred 2 or 4-year degree in I&E/Mechanical fields.
- High school diploma or equivalent will be considered with an acceptable level of field experience.
- Functional knowledge of BCS, BMS, and CCS systems, DCS, PLC-based systems, or Honeywell 7800 and Fireye.
- General understanding of PLC programming.
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and UL standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Adept at problem-solving and managing diverse situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities, able to interface with field and plant personnel, including executive levels.
- Experience in developing technical solutions.
- Regularly required to sit at a computer, in a vehicle, or in meetings.
- Must be capable of driving for extended periods.
- Frequent computer and phone usage.
- Regularly required to navigate the facility (standing, walking, kneeling) and customer sites, varying by location.
- Occasionally lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Occasionally required to work in elevated areas.
- Must adhere to company safety and PPE protocols.
- Must comply with customer safety and PPE requirements as directed, varying by job-site location and task.
- Depending on the task, will be required to wear safety glasses, hard hats, safety-toe shoes, arc flash gear (NFPA 70E or equivalent), and other safety equipment as defined by OSHA, the company, or other regulatory entities.
- Primarily in an office setting or vehicle.
- Regular field service environment working at customer job sites. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures and loud environments.
