Position Summary:

LVI Associates is currently seeking a qualified Water/Wastewater Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background with 6-10 years of expertise in the engineering and management of water and wastewater systems. This position provides a unique chance to engage in significant projects, work alongside diverse teams, and play a vital role in the advancement of sustainable water management solutions.

Primary Duties:

  • Direct and oversee the engineering design and execution of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection networks, and distribution systems.
  • Conduct thorough engineering analyses, hydraulic simulations, and design evaluations.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to guarantee project success within established timelines and budgets.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including reports, specifications, drawings, and contract agreements.
  • Perform site evaluations, inspections, and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and engineering standards.
  • Assist in business development initiatives by crafting proposals, cost assessments, and client presentations.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical support throughout project phases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
  • 6-10 years of applicable experience in water and wastewater engineering, encompassing planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota or the capability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
  • Proficient in software applications such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling programs (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoWater).
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to water and wastewater systems.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with municipal, industrial, or private sector clients is advantageous.
