Job Overview:

The Wealth Management Trust Consultant at Regions is responsible for acquiring and managing client relationships related to Personal Trust, Estate, IRA, and Investment Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' financial situations to enhance and expand client relationships.
  • Provide expert guidance and solutions for the development and maintenance of intricate investment strategies, typically managing substantial and/or complex client portfolios.
  • Consistently identify and generate significant new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about trends and advancements in the trust and investment management sector to ensure responsible administration and investment management.
  • Collaborate with Trust Administrators to oversee the establishment, implementation, and management of trusts, estates, IRAs, IMAs, and custody accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with fiduciary principles in account administration.
  • Coordinate client service activities with other wealth management professionals.
  • Mentor and guide junior trust advisors.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. It is also eligible for incentive compensation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Trust Administration, Estate/Tax Law, Financial Planning, or relevant fields, including direct client interaction to provide fiduciary services.
  • Solid understanding of trust principles and the regulatory and tax implications of trust account administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fiduciary products and services, including legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees (e.g., JD, LLM, CPA, MBA, or Master of Taxation).
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), or Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex topics effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple goals and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
