Job Title:

Technical Support Specialist - Software Integration

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist - Software Integration provides technical support to customers, partners, and the field service team to drive complete resolution of first responder and moderately complex issues. The specialist leverages remote diagnostics, product knowledge, and troubleshooting experience to resolve issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical support and expertise on a broad range of STERIS products to internal and external customers.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and technical support on-site at customer locations.
  • Helps remotely support installation and software upgrade issues.
  • Troubleshoots STERIS products, documents critical failures, and develops solutions for issues.
  • Provides periodic after-hours technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Acts as the front-line interface for field service representatives, specialists, and customers for technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintains equipment-related technical proficiency and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Handles RMA requests and associated administrative work.
  • Basic case management and documentation of service requests for issue handoffs and escalations.
Requirements:
  • 2-year associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual - excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT, networking, audio/video technologies, and computer troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and effectively resolve and communicate technical issues via telephone and email.
  • Must be available periodically outside of normal working hours.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux programming preferred.
