Trauma ER Supervisor RN

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to lead our Trauma ER team as a Supervisor. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our Level 1 Trauma Center.
Job Summary:- Lead a team of Registered Nurses in the Trauma ER department
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care
- Front-line leadership and accountability for delivering high-quality patient care
- Embracing and utilizing research-based nursing practices to improve patient outcomes
- Supporting unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures
- Role modeling leadership by example, prioritizing patient experience, and fostering teamwork and retention
- Ensuring patient-centered care and promoting collegial working relationships
- At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
- More than two years of Registered Nurse clinical experience specific to the focus of nursing unit preferred
- Associate Degree RNs within one year of completing their BSN
- BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS required; specialty certification within one year of hire
- Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
