Job Summary:
  • Lead a team of Registered Nurses in the Trauma ER department
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety
Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Trauma ER department
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety
Requirements:
  • At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
  • More than 2 years of Registered Nurse clinical experience specific to the focus of nursing unit preferred
  • Associate Degree RNs within one year of completing their BSN
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • BLS required. Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year of hire
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
