Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Oncology Clinic, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service. This includes conducting shift huddles, rounding on staff, and participating in emergency preparedness drills. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality shift huddles to communicate strategic priorities and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Round on staff regularly to identify and remove barriers to quality care and enhance staff engagement.
  • Review core measures and key performance indicators to drive systematic improvements in patient outcomes.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and training to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
  • Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire.
  • Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
