Position Overview

The Custodial Specialist at Anthem Memory Care is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as dusting and sanitizing bathroom fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align with the mission and values of Anthem Memory Care.
  • Adhere to established work schedules.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, tubs, and floors, while ensuring supplies are replenished.
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, including countertops, appliances, and sinks.
  • Dust and wipe down desks, furniture, doors, baseboards, and window sills.
  • Perform floor maintenance through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, with occasional carpet spot cleaning.
  • Wash windows to ensure a clear view.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling appropriately.
  • Operate electric carts or utility carts within the facility.
  • Report any safety issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Change bed linens in residential care apartments as required.
  • Clean dining areas post-meals.
  • Engage in ongoing training and meetings to enhance skills.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Deliver respectful service to residents, guests, and colleagues.
  • Uphold and advocate for residents' rights.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.
  • Disinfect rooms, furniture, and common areas when residents are not present.
  • Ensure common areas are sanitized according to health guidelines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to read, speak, and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and residents. Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous, but comprehensive training will be provided.

Certification Requirements

  • First Aid certification.
  • Criminal background check clearance.
  • Health screening and tuberculosis clearance.
