Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Engineer role presents a unique opportunity to bolster our Engineering team. You will be responsible for supporting, testing, and validating storage system-level products. This position entails configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and validating storage performance and application solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Below are the essential duties and responsibilities associated with this role (additional tasks may also be assigned):
  • Develop and define application benchmarks aligned with enterprise computing requirements and standard server architecture, including examples such as HammerDB, MySQL, RDMA, and flash-based storage (NVDIMM, NVMe).
  • Conduct benchmark testing and create proof of concepts utilizing the latest data center technologies and Supermicro server products, such as the Supermicro SuperServers.
  • Collaborate with product managers and system engineers to create technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry events.
  • Actively engage in learning and researching emerging technologies and products to propose innovative Proof of Concepts.
Engage with sales teams and customers to deliver networking solutions and technical expertise.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in system engineering for server products preferred.
  • Strong understanding of server architecture and operating system concepts; knowledge of distributed computing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with benchmarks (FIO/IOMeter/HammerDB), PCIe protocol, and databases (SQL/MySQL).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Powershell, Linux Shell) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
Please note that this position necessitates regular in-office attendance.

The successful candidate is expected to be present during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are vital aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range: $163,000 - $181,000. The salary offered will depend on various factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparisons to other employees in this role.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
