At National Youth Advocate Program, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a critical role in providing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care to children and youth in our care.
Job Summary:The Bilingual Clinician will conduct mental health assessments, provide individual and group counseling services, and screen for trauma, human trafficking, and crisis intervention services. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a therapeutic and emotionally healing environment, establish treatment goals, and assist in the implementation of individualized service plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinating the delivery of clinical services, training new clinicians, and supporting the Lead Clinician in supervising clinical staff
- Overseeing clinicians in the delivery of trauma-informed assessments and counseling sessions
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to team clinicians
- Screening for human trafficking concerns and providing crisis intervention services
- Regularly reviewing and modifying individual service plans in collaboration with the case management team
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned foster parents
- Conducting visits at foster parents' homes
- Providing safety assessments, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as needed
- Continually monitoring the mental well-being of children in care and arranging for appropriate services as needed
- Collaborating with other staff and stakeholders in utilizing a child welfare best practice approach for the care of minors within a trauma-informed framework
- Master's degree in social work with clinical experience in the program
- Must be licensed based on State requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record
- A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours with a possibility of being on call on nights/weekends
- Must be able to organize, navigate, and physically escort youth to various travel destinations
- Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers
- Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function
- Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others
- Bilingual English/Spanish Fluency
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
