Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Echo Sonographer to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting echocardiograms, as well as leading and mentoring a team of sonographers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret echocardiograms, including TTE, stress echocardiograms, and advanced imaging techniques
  • Lead and mentor a team of sonographers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac imaging and technology
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with prior lead/supervisor experience
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in radiology information systems
