Lead Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Echo Sonographer to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting cardiac ultrasound exams, leading a team of sonographers, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and interpret cardiac ultrasound exams, including echocardiograms and stress tests
- Lead a team of sonographers, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure excellent patient care and high-quality images
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cardiac ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training
- 5+ years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with prior lead/supervisor experience
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of cardiac ultrasound procedures and protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
