Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a Lead Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex cardiovascular procedures, leading a team of technologists, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of routine and highly specialized interventional and therapeutic cardiac or electrophysiology procedures, including peripheral and coronary angioplasty, stents, rotablators, artherectomy, laser, and coronary ultrasound.
  • Exercise independent judgment and execution of above-average clinical skills on challenging procedures and patient care situations.
  • Lead a team of technologists, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to the development of new procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below; if required credential/registry acquired after September 1, 2013, Associates degree required.
  • At least 3 years experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, with prior experience in a lead or supervisory role or HM experience and performance that demonstrates leadership abilities.
  • RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (CCI) and BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA).
