Lead Cardiac Sonographer

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our cardiac sonography department, you will be responsible for leading a team of sonographers and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of sonographers in performing cardiac echo studies, ensuring precise and accurate data transmission for physician completion.
- Develop and implement quality improvement activities, conduct quality assurance audits, and provide feedback on staff performance.
- Collaborate with management, staff, and physicians to resolve routine matters and ensure optimal patient care and customer service.
- Train and mentor staff, provide guidance on new technical procedures and products, and communicate effectively with vendors for supply and equipment needs.
- Identify opportunities for corrective action and process improvement, providing recommendations to meet departmental and hospital targets for quality and safety.
- Five years' experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, including prior lead/supervisor experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or equivalent certification.
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and team player skills, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle challenging diagnostic procedures, and demonstrate sound judgment and clinical skills.
