Retail Floor Leader

Overview:

The Retail Floor Leader plays a crucial role in supporting the store manager in the effective operation of the retail environment, emphasizing exceptional customer service, fostering employee morale, and enhancing sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the store manager in ensuring adequate staffing across various departments and aid in scheduling and time management tasks.
  • Oversee employee productivity, ensuring adherence to company policies, dress code, and procedural compliance.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the store manager regarding employee performance assessments.
  • Identify and coordinate project completion to enhance store operations.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer preparation.
  • Act as a liaison between management and staff, executing directives as required.
  • Engage with customers to address inquiries and assist with their needs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support cash register operations as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining store organization, including stocking and cleaning duties.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of relevant retail experience is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, and walking. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily conducted within a retail setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions. Safety protocols are in place to ensure a secure working environment.
