Position Overview:

In this role, you will ensure a positive customer experience through prompt and professional service. Your responsibilities will encompass all sales activities, focusing on promoting Mediacom's products and services. This includes addressing billing inquiries, troubleshooting service issues, processing payments, managing equipment inventory, and scheduling service and installation appointments. You will provide direct support to customers in alignment with Mediacom's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet all sales and retention targets established for the department by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products and services.
  • Clearly communicate product and service information, billing processes, and equipment usage to customers.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of current marketing initiatives and effectively convey them to customers.
  • Troubleshoot basic service issues and coordinate on-site service calls as needed.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and verify all transactions.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment, conducting oneself in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.


Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail and/or consumer sales is required.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient cash handling skills.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record may be required for certain locations.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills are necessary.
  • Sales aptitude and a willingness to achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to other sites may be required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
