Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, work closely with marketing to develop business development strategies, and participate in project meetings and client events.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and oversight on complex projects, develop and maintain client relationships, and review proposals and project deliverables.
  • Project Management: Oversee the management of large-scale projects, ensure proper management of project schedules and deadlines, and direct project employees.
  • Financial Management: Continuously monitor project budget and profitability, understand group financial reports, and manage project WIP and AR.
  • Professional Development: Participate in internal brownbag presentations, read professional publications, and attend professional seminars.
  • Communication: Timely and appropriately communicate with project employees, subcontractors, and clients, and embody company values of open, direct, and honest communication.
  • Leadership/Supervisory: Mentor project managers and associates, develop employee performance development programs, and promote positive, solution-oriented approaches.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Registered RG, CEG, PE, GE, or equivalent.
