Job Summary

NV5 Global is seeking a highly skilled Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead our geotechnical engineering team in the Pacific Northwest. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in geotechnical engineering, including project management, business development, and technical direction.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in geotechnical engineering, including project management, business development, and technical direction.
  • Manage and oversee large-scale complex projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, generating new revenue and business opportunities.
  • Participate in project meetings, public hearings, client events, and interview presentations for new projects.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to advance business development opportunities and promote company services.
  • Provide technical review of project work and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain industry-related software and methodologies, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and associates, developing their skills and expertise.
  • Embodies company values of open, direct, and honest communication, mentoring group in this area.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a related technical field required.
  • 12+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in project management, business development, and technical direction.
  • Registered RG, CEG, PE, GE, or equivalent certification.
