Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at iGov. As a key member of our Accounting Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the CFO with day-to-day activities and planning and directing general and cost accounting, payroll, financial planning, and analysis activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Key Point of Contact for external auditors and provide expert-level knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Direct and Oversee the Accounting Department, including supervising the Accounting Manager and implementing consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all company operations.
  • Ensure Timely Production of the company's financial statements through oversight of the month-end close process.
  • Enforce Internal Controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Maintain Accurate Records by designing and maintaining the Accounting department records archiving and retention system.
  • Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting activities as assigned, and coordinate responses to external auditor requests as needed.
Requirements:
  • 10+ Years of Accounting Experience in a government contracting environment, with knowledge of both Value-Added Resellers (VAR) and program-type work.
  • Deltek Costpoint Experience is required, including specific experience with project-related and sales order-related workflows.
  • Expert Knowledge of Accounting Principles and regulations, as well as excellent spreadsheet skills.
  • Must be Able to Maintain Confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate exceptional prioritizing skills.
