Job Title: Engineering Project Manager Lead

About the Role:

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State is seeking an experienced and skilled Engineering Project Manager Lead to join the Cyber, Modeling and Simulation Division of the Communications, Information, and Navigation Office.

This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in engineering program management, technical working group support, and providing direct programmatic and technical support to government customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interact regularly with project sponsors, stakeholders, and API project teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct project management activities such as communicating with principle investigators, resource managers, project engineers, and researchers to drive project success.
  • Facilitate and lead the creation of task/project budgets, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, task prioritization, and integration plans to achieve project goals.
  • Assume the role of Scrum Master for a multi-disciplined engineering team executing projects using AGILE execution process to deliver quality research solutions.
  • Prepare reports and other associated project and/or program documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Proven program management and technical skills, as well as organizational acumen.
  • Training or experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum Master training.
  • Experience extracting, aggregating, and analyzing financial reports from business software applications.
  • Excellent proven organizational, leadership, and management skills.

Salary Range: $76,700.00 - $129,500.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
