The Audit Associate will be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and summarizing financial and non-financial information with attention to detail and accuracy. This is a remote position with the option to work in Kelmar's offices.
Key Responsibilities- Documentation and Research: Participate in meetings to document discussion points and action items, draft memorandums and emails, perform holder research, prepare work papers, and other ad hoc analyses.
- Initial Review and Analysis: Conduct initial review of documentation provided by unclaimed property holders, perform preliminary analyses of holder responses, prepare summaries, and present initial recommendations to management.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience, with the ability to train.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (coursework in accounting, business, economics, or finance preferred but not required); or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Experience reviewing and analyzing complex data sets, comfortable using advanced Excel analytical procedures (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, logical formulas, etc.), and ability to communicate well with internal and external parties.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive and comfortable working individually as well as collaboratively in a group setting to meet team objectives, demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, and displays motivation to learn and develop skills.
- Compensation: Compensation for this role varies depending on several factors including work location, level of experience, and skill set. As required by applicable law, the hiring range for this position is $52,000 – $55,000.
