Position Summary

The Project Management Associate will support senior project managers in overseeing construction initiatives from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating tasks related to the development, upkeep of structures, facilities, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizes and schedules projects in a logical sequence, estimating the time required to meet each milestone.
  • Prepares budget proposals and maintains regular communication with clients regarding financial progress and expenditures.
  • Ensures compliance with budgetary constraints and swiftly addresses any unforeseen complications or challenges.
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises activities concerning the construction and maintenance of designated structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Guarantees adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site, ensuring all safety standards are met during construction.
  • Manages contract discussions, modifications, and compliance by all involved parties.
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory personnel, contractors, and design experts to address and resolve issues, including work methods, grievances, and construction or design challenges.
  • Leads necessary actions in response to delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespeople, and laborers.
  • Performs additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
  • Two years of experience in construction management
  • Effective communication skills with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor responsibilities.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.

Travel Requirements

Some travel may be necessary.
