Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation is seeking a Travel Coordinator to support the Department of State (DOS). The successful candidate will be involved in extensive contact with the public, often under time constraints and in challenging situations.

The Travel Coordinator is responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for dozens of DOS student interns, processing travel authorizations, and resolving last-minute travel issues.

This is a self-managed position that requires independent decision-making and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for DOS student interns
  • Process travel authorizations and vouchers
  • Resolve last-minute travel issues
  • Provide support to the government Travel Coordinator
  • Lead the coordination between internal offices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' relevant experience
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
