Travel Coordinator/Program Assistant VI

Job Summary:
Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Travel Coordinator/Program Assistant VI to support the Department of State (DOS). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for dozens of DOS student interns, processing travel authorizations, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate travel arrangements for DOS student interns, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars.
- Process travel authorizations and vouchers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to student interns, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal offices, including GTM/EX/RMD's E2 account staff and Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), to ensure seamless travel coordination.
- Manage and maintain accurate spreadsheets indicating voucher costs for student interns.
- Resolve last-minute travel issues, such as delayed or cancelled flights, and provide support during the travel process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in travel coordination or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of the State Department environment.
- Government contracting experience.
Work Environment:
The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
