Administrative Assistant

The Town of Forest Heights is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Public Works Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent customer service to the public.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Public Works Department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, both physical and electronic.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events, as well as prepare agendas and meeting materials.
- Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work effectively in a team environment, providing support and assistance to other staff members as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
