Job Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to join our team in the Labor and Delivery and Antepartum units. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery and Antepartum units
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to achieve desired patient outcomes
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of two years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP)
