Job Title: Registered Nurse II

At MUSC Health & Medical University of SC, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II will operate within the nursing scope of practice to provide high-quality care for a broad patient population. This includes ensuring patients and family members understand the procedure and plan of care, assisting in procedure room preparation, maintaining sterile technique, administering conscious sedation and other drugs as needed, and monitoring patient patterns and vital signs throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level.
  • Deliver safe and effective care and interact with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
  • Assist in procedure room preparation and maintain sterile technique.
  • Administer conscious sedation and other drugs as needed.
  • Monitor patient patterns and vital signs throughout the procedure.
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to work in a latex-safe environment.
