The University of New Mexico College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events.

This role requires a hard-working individual who will assist with logistics for all College of Nursing events, serving as the primary contact and liaison for vendors associated with events.

The successful candidate will oversee timelines and schedules for special projects and job fairs, track event assets and materials to maintain an organized inventory, and ensure effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders.

About the Team

The College of Nursing is part of a vibrant health sciences community that includes New Mexico's only Level-1 Trauma Center.

We are committed to providing exceptional education for over 1,500 students each year in 21 different health fields, with a strong focus on innovative research and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the advancement team, including handling correspondence and managing travel arrangements.
  • Assist with logistics for all College of Nursing events, serving as the primary contact and liaison for vendors associated with events.
  • Oversee timelines and schedules for special projects and job fairs.
  • Track event assets and materials to maintain an organized inventory.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Ability to be flexible and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrate ability to be well organized and able to multitask.
  • Experience with event planning.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
