Travel Coordinator Specialist

Job Description:At Faith Comes By Hearing, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Travel Coordinator to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements for our clients, ensuring accurate and cost-effective results within ministry guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Obtain relevant traveler information to create detailed itineraries, book flights, arrange transportation, and reserve accommodations.
- Research, purchase, and arrange complex travel arrangements while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- LIMIT the liability of ministry travel losses and minimize schedule disruptions through effective planning and sound judgment.
- Ensure travelers' well-being by observing safety protocols and procedures in accommodations and travel schedules.
- Arrange detailed travel itineraries and compile relevant documents for travel and meetings at destinations.
- Create comprehensive travel packets for each traveler, including reservations, contact information, and necessary documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by checking in travelers and providing boarding passes during normal business hours.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing and entering travel data into spreadsheets.
- Cross-train in Data Entry/Donation Processing to assist during high-volume periods.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality services to ministry guests, as outlined in Faith Comes By Hearing's Hospitality Handbook.
- Adapt work schedules as needed due to situational demands from events and guest travel itineraries.
- Monitor global events and policies impacting travel or preparations for travel (e.g., Real ID Act, passport renewal issues).
Requirements:
- Demonstrate excellence in domestic travel planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Evaluate information to ensure compliance with standards (e.g., layover or safety standards).
- Show ability to focus in an open office setting with a high attention to details.

- Maintain high-level confidentiality with discernment.
- Trustworthy with large purchases and personal/financial information.
- Skilled in Excel and Internet Search Programs, along with exceptional computer skills and understanding of various travel booking and travel vendor websites.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required; One + years' experience in travel coordination preferred.
