Position Summary:
We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to enhance our Environmental and Industrial Services Accounting Team. This role is pivotal in overseeing inventory management and delivering comprehensive accounting support across various business segments.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks related to the general ledger close at each reporting cycle.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
- Oversee the accounting and valuation of inventory.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate the development of detailed reporting packages for executive review.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Manage a small team of professional associates, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in various financial reporting deliverables and inventory analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and collaborate with external auditors during audits.
- Analyze business trends and communicate financial performance insights to product managers.
- Drive process improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or similar areas.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience with NetSuite and financial planning tools is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position typically involves working indoors in a quiet office setting. Candidates should be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting and using office equipment.
