Job Title: Deputy General Manager

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Deputy General Manager to provide support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating locations. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of annual business plans, controlling daily operations, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
  • Select, train, and mentor location staff.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance plans and ensure fleet availability.
  • Develop and implement safety and training programs.
  • Conduct periodic departmental audits and review key operational metrics.
  • Manage location financial metrics and develop action plans to meet expectations.
  • Implement and promote company policies and procedures.
  • Interact with the bridges committee to effectuate positive changes.
  • Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
  • Provide insight and information to support contract renewals.
Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent business management experience.
  • Management experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in operations management and 7 years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment.
  • Labor/union(s) negotiations/expenses expertise.
  • Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software.
  • MS Office, strong analytical skills, and high degree of multi-tasking skills.
