Job Title: Deputy Project Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Project Director to support the management of our upcoming USAID-funded project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in international development, finance, and operations, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and ensuring compliance with USAID regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Director in managing day-to-day project operations, including administration, logistics, procurement, budgeting, and financial accounting.
  • Ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with USAID regulations, procedures, and with the scope of the project.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including financial and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with project team members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective project implementation.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in international development, including the management of finance and operations for projects of similar size and complexity.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with USAID FAR, ADS, and other operational guidance, including human resources, financial management, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience leading start-up/close-out and procurement for multi-country, USAID-funded programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with senior U.S. and foreign government officials.
  • Bachelor's degree in management, international development, economics, or business administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Fluency in English oral and written communication.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
